Becoming a Patron of the 108th Annual Myopia Horse Show is a wonderful way to support the Myopia Hunt and the local land conservation associations . The horse show donates a share of its profits to the Essex County Trail Association, Trustees of Reservations and Essex County Greenbelt. We are dedicated to preserving the open land still available to us in Bradley Palmer State Park and Appleton Farms in Ipswich.
Myopia Horse Show is one of the oldest shows in the country, and has become one of the premier sporting and social events on the North Shore. It takes place over Labor Day weekend on the Outside Hunt Course in the picturesque schooling field in Hamilton. This year with the added use of the Grand Prix Jumper Field, the show has room to expand and build on the success of last year.
Patrons are invited to the Opening Cocktail party on the evening of Saturday, August 30th under the Patrons’ Tent. This year, a Calcutta will be held to auction off the Gold Star Derby Cross Teams. With a purse of $5,000 offered, even more upper level three day eventers and show jumpers are expected to compete. On Sunday, Sporting Hunter Day, Patrons receive VIP parking passes for ringside parking where tailgate picnicking is the tradition. Invitations to the Pimms’ Cup Patrons’ Luncheon on Monday are the favorite part of the Patrons’ package. Enjoy a gourmet luncheon catered by Timothy Hopkins Catering while watching the $5,000 Mini Prix Show Jumping and the popular Derby Cross races. Last year over 300 Patrons and Sponsors attended the luncheon. This year we will be holding a ladies’ hat contest to add to the festivities.
Patron tickets are $95.00 each. Tickets are limited.
